DIY: From Toilet Paper Roll To Phone Holder

Hey guys! It’s your Miss O Intern Reese (@rwpuppy1) here, and today I will be sharing a post from my blog “DIY Reese” on how to make a DIY phone holder out of an old toilet paper roll!

What You’ll Need:
– A toilet paper roll
- Marker or pen
– Scissors
– Four thumbtacks
– At least two rolls of washi tape in different patterns and colors
– Mod Podge and paintbrush (optional)
– Hot glue gun and glue sticks (optional)

How to Make it:

Step 1: Start by using your washi tape to make stripes on your toilet paper roll. I did it by alternating the colors and patterns of my washi tape rolls, but you can do whatever you want!

Step 2: If you want, cut the brown edges of the roll off so you can only see washi tape.

Step 3: Using Mod Podge, paint the surface of the toilet paper roll. Make sure to cover your surface before starting! Let dry.

Step 4: Once the toilet paper roll has dried, place your phone on top of the toilet paper roll and trace around it with a pen or marker. Then, use your scissors to cut the slit out of the roll!

Step 5 (Optional): If you want less chance of scratching your phone, fold some of the washi tape inside of the slit you just cut.

Step 6: Now, push the four thumbtacks into the bottom of the roll. Make sure that they are on the outer edges of your toilet paper roll so they don’t scratch your phone.

Step 7 (Optional): Using hot glue, glue around the pointy part of the thumbtacks and the outsides of the thumbtacks to keep the tacks in place. Let dry, then you’re done!
