“Go for it! You never know what will happen until you try it out!”

When Sidney Grace Culwell has free time she likes to go horse-back riding, swimming and zip-lining. Sometimes she sits down with a good book and other days she likes to spend time with her family.

But most of her time is spent letting her readers know what’s what in the world of fun, fashion and glam.

Not sure what to wear to your school dance? No problem.

Thinking of changing up your style this winter? There’s a post for that!

Not sure what to get your best friend for her birthday? Sidney’s got you covered.

Check out her interview below and don’t forget to swing by her blog HERE!

1) What is your favorite Broadway show?

My hands down favorite Broadway show is Frozen the Broadway Musical! I have always loved Frozen, since the movie came out when I was six years old and even had a Frozen themed 7th birthday pajama party! After seeing the Broadway musical in June, my love for Frozen skyrocketed! I loved how the songwriters, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, wrote both the movie soundtrack and the musical soundtrack, but made a few songs different. I love how although Oaken didn’t have any songs in the movie, in the musical, he sang a song called “Hygge”, which is hilarious! Even though the Frozen Broadway Musical is a little different than the movie, those little changes are what make me want to see it again and again! I can’t wait to go back to NYC one day and one thing is for sure, I will definitely be seeing Frozen the Broadway Musical again!!

2) What Harry Potter house do you belong to?

I would be a mix of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, so a Ravendor or a Gryffinclaw. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so it’s hard not to choose more than one house! I just recently went to Harry Potter World at Universal Studios and had the best time! It was such an awesome trip with my family! My older sister & her friend drove up from Miami to meet us there, since they are huge Harry Potter fans, too! Getting to experience this incredible park was a dream come true! I really felt like I was a part of Hogwarts and I loved getting to see the house cups and all the cool places inside the castle! It made me love Harry Potter even more!

3) How did you get into fashion blogging?

Well, first of all, I love fashion! Clothes are definitely one of my favorite things and I like all different styles. I also love to write, so it made perfect sense to create a blog, where I could put those two together! I’ve been collaborating with different companies and boutiques over the past year and I have had so much fun sharing all about the awesome clothes and products I promote through the collaborations! Instagram is a great place to promote, but I love sharing more details through my blog. Even though I love fashion, I want my blog to be a great place to share about other things I love like reading, writing, glamour products, and fun DIY projects. I love having a blog, because it allows me the outlet to share about them and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will evolve over time.

4) How would you describe your own personal style?

I’m kind of a girly girl! Comfort is always key for me, but I always want to look stylish and cute. I like a little bit of a boho style and I am totally loving camo this season! You see it everywhere! I also love a little sparkle in my outfits, so I love clothes with sequins! I am so excited about cooler temps, because I love boots! Cozy sweaters and leggings with boots are my cooler weather “go to” look! I think when it comes to style, it is a great way to express yourself and when you feel good in what you are wearing, it gives you a little confidence to take on your day! I really like to feel and look my best no matter what I am doing.

5) We read on your bio that in your free time you, “love to slow down and read a good book or work on a story I am writing”. Can you tell us a bit about the story you’re working on?

I love different genres of books, but my favorites are probably historical, historical fiction, mysteries and fantasy. I also love collecting books, so when I read a good book I love, I add it to my library. (I need a larger bookcase soon!) Since I am currently really enjoying fantasy books right now, I started working on a story about a group of girls at a summer camp! Mystery and magic are part of the story and lots of twists and turns. I’m only a few chapters in and I actually write as it comes to me, so I am still not sure how it will end! I like to keep a notepad beside my bed, so that when an idea comes to me at night, I can write it down, so I don’t forget! I’ll be sure and get back to you when I finish it!

6) What blog post are you most proud of?

I would have to say my very first blog post although I am proud of all of the ones I have done for different reasons. When I started my blog, I had already done several collaborations but I wanted to do my first blog post about my very first collaboration which was with Love @ First Sight NYC. Ms. Amy Gallet, who runs the children’s division is the absolute sweetest person and she has let me collaborate with them several times. I actually had the opportunity to meet her and visit their showroom, when I was in NYC in June. I was excited to write about their company, because I was so grateful that they gave me my first opportunity. I also love their motto – “Love what you wear before you wear it.” I totally agree!

7) Do you have any posts or projects coming up that we can get a sneak peek?

I am so excited to be in my very first theater performance coming up later this month. I am in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at one of our local theaters and it has been a great experience! Learning Shakespeare has been a bit of a challenge, but I did my research and found a great way to learn difficult lines. Before going to bed, write your lines down over & over again. As you are writing them, repeat them aloud and it will help you retain them. This really worked for me so try it, if you have something you need to memorize! I am also going to be in “The Miracle Worker” at my school, as well! I love acting and modeling, so I hope to have more opportunities to do both in the future. My mom taught me a saying that has become my little motto – “If it wasn’t meant to be, there’s something better out there waiting for me.” This has become a great reminder for me to never give up on my dreams! If I don’t get a part in something or something doesn’t work out that I was hoping would, I just remind myself that there are other things out there and I look forward to seeing what doors will open for me in the future!

8) What tips do you have for readers who want to start their own blog?

Go for it! You never know what will happen until you try it out! If you love writing and sharing your ideas, blogging is a great way to do it! Who knows what will happen, but you will never know unless you try! DREAM BIG!
