23-year-old Reese Witherspoon-lookalike Kelsea Nicole Ballerini is an American country pop singer-songwriter. She has been nominated as the Best New Artist. Named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country in 2014, Kelsea’s debut “Love Me Like You Mean It” reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making her the first solo female country music artist to score a number one hit with her debut single since Carrie Underwood did so with “Jesus, Take the Wheel” in 2006.
She was nominated for American Music Awards in 2015, she won the award of “Rising Star” in Billboard’s Women in Music 2015. 2016 saw her nominated for two Teen Choice Awards, one AMA and one CMAA.
26-year-old Maren Morris has released four albums, one EP and has been steadily climbing the rungs of success. She has been nominated for four Grammys this year. Her fourth album, first album with Columbia Nashville Records, HERO saw the most success. Morris has written songs for other artists like Kelly Clarkson and Tim Migraw. She toured with Keith Urban this year. She leads as the most-nominated country artist: Best New Artist, Best Country Solo Performance for “My Church”, Best Country Song for “My Church”, and Best Country Album for HERO.
