    Honestly you should just be honest with them. No need to hide it! If they don’t like it then talk with them and try to get them to see it from your perspective.

    how old are you? Sometimes it might depend on how young you are. As long as your not to young you should tell them when you can get up the courage! (age matters because to lower grades gender doesnt matter so you might be a little confused, no insults meant though).
