DIY: Graduation Decor
Do you feel like throwing yourself a party for the HUGE milestone that you have achieved and appreciate yourself and your friends for the hard work put in school! Do you feel like reliving your past years in one night or more like a “Grad Night party”!
well then here are a few simple ideas to spruce up your party:
Photo Highlights: This is the easiest and most sweetest way you can decorate an area. Print some old pictures out, and hang them on a line with small pegs or glue. Its one of the best ways to revel in the feeling of, “We are graduating!!”
Diploma rolls: So easy, and so cute! Tie a school-colored ribbon around a couple of wafer rolls and you diploma will be ready to munch on!
Graduation Cap Straw Toppers: To make these tiny graduation sippy straws, cut a square out of black construction paper and punch a hole through the center. Then cut a long rectangular strip out of the paper, form it into the shape of a cylinder, and glue it to your first piece to make a hat. Slip a straw through it and top it off with a tassel made out of embroidery string.
Graduation Party Guest Book: Cut small 2″x 4″ wooden blocks of rectangular shape on which the guest would sign and write some encouraging messages for the grad. Then build a Jenga tower with each completed block. The idea behind it is that how these people have helped you “build your life”.
Graduation cap cupcakes: For the base of the cupcake use any cupcake batter, and once the cupcakes are done turn them upside down. The top of the cap is a chocolate covered graham cracker. You want to make sure to get the kind that is square. For the little button on the top, I use an M&M. The tassel is made out of embroidery floss. Use chocolate frosting as your glue!
Memory Mason jar: You can also let each one of your guests have a graduation cap mason jar, filled with notes and memories by their friends who come to the party. Just stick a square piece of black sheet over the lid of the mason jar.
