“If it’s not Baroque, don’t fix it.”

We know what you’re thinking. Where’s the picture of Emma Watson in her golden gown? Where is the long, flowing pony tail and why isn’t she holding a rose?

But let’s not forget that before Belle became the famous Disney Princess she is today, she was once a French villager wearing a simple white dress and blue apron. It may not be as memorable as the ball gown but it’s still iconic and Disney recently shared another look at the new Beauty and the Beast.

This time with a sketch of the set and costumes, including Belle’s blue and white outfit.

There are a few obvious differences – Emma will be wearing a pair of boots and dish towels hanging off the belt instead of Belle’s usual basket. Her clean cut bun will also be replaced with a loose pony tail, but despite all these changes we know Emma Watson will be able to bring the book-loving princess to life.
