This Girl of the Moment Donated her Hair to Cancer Research - 8 Times! Olivia, or as she’s known on Miss O and Friends “Treehugger14”, has been writing for the blog since she was 14 years old. Now, 4 years later, she posts a few articles a week generally in the Girls Care section of the scoop. Since she was 10 years old she has grown out her hair and donated the braids to an organization called Angel Hair that “…provides wigs and hair loss solutions to financially disadvantaged children in Canada who have lost their hair due to a medical condition or treatment.” Because her hair is so thick and curly she is able to donate two braids each time; meaning that even though she's only cut her hair four times she managed to donate 8 braids! “Sometimes it can be difficult adjusting from having really long hair to all of a sudden having really short hair,” she said, “it’s weird when one morning you spend an hour detangling your curls only to spend less than five minutes the day after you cut it.” On top of growing out her hair she enjoys reading, spending countless hours at the arena watching her brothers play hockey and finding ways to beat the frigid temperatures of Southern Ontario. She plans to study journalism in Montreal, Quebec come September but in the meantime you can check her out on the blog at @Treehugger14. Think you've got what it takes to be the next Girl of the Moment Winner? Send us a video here!!

Meet Connie, Miss O and Friends Intern Hi Girls! My name is Connie. I've been interning at Miss O & Friends since May of 2013. I started as an intern at the end of my senior year of high school. Now, I'm studying Engineering at the University of Connecticut. I do a lot of different things for the site. But my favorite is updating the wall and finding images for the scoop! In my free time I love to dance and sing. I've been in choir for as long as I can remember and I've been dancing since I could walk! My favorite game on the site is Totally Mixed-Up. You should try it! It's an awesome way to earn points!! Check me out on the Wall. I'm MissConnie!
Victoria Breen has been working at Miss O and Friends since 2009. She assists in page designs, layouts, quizzes, advertisements, newsletters, and frequently works amongst interns. Victoria is in her junior year at the University of Connecticut where she is currently a double English and Secondary Education major. Kids have always been a part of her life, so it is not a surprise she wants to continue her career teaching girls just like Miss O! At the University, Victoria ran a tutoring program where college students assist and tutor middle school students in a neighboring town. She worked with 20 college students and over 30 middle school students on a daily basis for two years. She also serves as a Director in her sorority, Delta Gamma. She is in charge of assigning tasks and responsibilities to her sisters for upcoming events and fundraisers. Victoria’s hobbies include biking, playing piano, and drawing.
Olivia Co-Founder, Partner The real Miss O (Olivia), Miss O & Friends co-Founder, is actively involved in all aspects creative … from the website, to designing. Between Olivia’s involvement in sports and fashion (a “Self Magazine” intern, Parsons School and FIT fashion student, Field Hockey and Lacrosse fanatic), Olivia is always brimming with new ideas for the Miss O community based on what girls say they want, with her twist! Olivia graduated from high school in the Spring of 2012 and is currently living in London studying at Central Saint Martins, School of Design. She doesn't get much sleep with the grueling workload but still admits she loves it! Looks like we lost her to London for a few more years. Her sister, Juliette, created this site for her when she was 10!
