Happy Friday the 13th! Although… most people don’t see this day as happy. Thirteen has always been considered an unlucky number just like Friday has always been considered an unlucky. The fear of Friday the 13th may have started with the Last Supper, the day where Jesus Christ and his followers had their last meal together. There were 13 people present at the meal and it was the last time they were all together before Jesus was imprisoned and martyred on…(cue scary DUN DUN DUH’S) A FRIDAY!
Many books have been written about creepy events that take place on a Friday the 13th and there is an actual phobia attributed to the fear of this day! It’s called “paraskevidekatriaphobia” a fear of Friday the 13th. Some people are so afraid of what might happen to them on this day that they don’t even leave their homes!
