Types of bullying to watch for

Bullying is something everyone suffers from, yet not everyone knows all the forms of bullying or what it can do, so I'm here to tell you how bullying affects you and how to know what type of bullying you or others are receiving. Physical: Physical bullying is where one person hits another from kicking, punching, pushing, shoving, spitting, to full on beat downs. The aggressor (bully) is normally larger/taller than the victim, or might be with a group to attack the victim. Verbal: Verbal bullying uses words against the victim. In the circumstances of verbal bullying, the bully will try to upset their victim by insulting their appearance, tease them, insult their lifestyle choices, intellect or even skin colour. Most verbal bullies have a low self esteem and tend to bully others so as to increase their social standings and feel better about themselves. Emotional Bullying: Also known as relational aggression, emotional bullying is the act of the bully attacking a victim on an emotional level. Emotional bullying is most common in relationships whereby, one partner might make statements or act in such a manner as to bring about distress to the other partner. Emotional bullying may also involve the spreading of rumors, excluding an individual from certain activities, refusing to talk to someone and even making statement with an intention of hurting a person’s feelings. Cyber bullying: Cyber bullying is one of the most popular types of bullying as it can happen anywhere at any time. Cyber bullying can be used as any type of bullying using technology and it can be difficult
