JONAS BROTHERS CALL WINNER SHARES HER EXPERIENCE

Last September, Miss O & Friends ran a “Tell A Friend” sweepstakes whose grand prize was a Phone Call with a Jonas Brother! Club Member jonasbrothersx3 was the big winner. To share the excitement, she¹s written a re-cap of that awesome phone call...

One day as I checked my e-mail, I came across an e-mail from Miss O and Friends. I opened it up and saw that my favorite band, the Jonas Brothers, were in it. It stated that there was going to be a contest where you could talk to them on the phone. Not only that but you would get an mp3 player and their cd. I waited for the day the contest would start. I gathered practically my whole high school's e-mails. The day the contest started, I sent e-mails to every e-mail I had and I entered every day. I wanted this prize more than anything. When the contest ended I went on their Jonas Brothers Street Team site and asked around if anyone had heard of it. I waited for a couple of days, always checking my e-mail for a message saying I won something. One day I opened my e-mail and screamed. My mom rushed up the stairs because she thought something had happened. Something had happened, I won the phone call! My mom responded to the e-mail to claim my prize. I couldn't believe it; the only thing I ever won was a pack of tissues at a raffle in my middle school.

I waited and waited for someone to call and tell me when the call was going to be. We missed the first time they called us. When we called them back they didn't answer. I was worried I'd never get the call! So I knew a way to get in contact with the Jonas Brothers. They were really sweet and messaged me saying that they would talk to someone if I wanted. Of course I said yes and the next day, their management called and told me that the phone call would be soon and they would call back again. About two days after they called back and told me the phone call would be the next day! My mom told me and I couldn't believe it! The woman on the phone told my mom not to worry because they are really nice boys, but I already knew that.

That day of the phone call I practically told everyone I saw. When I came home I sat and waited for the phone call. I was so nervous. Basically, every time the phone rang I screamed. Finally, the phone rang and the caller ID was private and I thought it must be them! I answered the phone, "Hello." "Is this Anne? It's Kevin, from the Jonas Brothers" I looked at my Jonas Brothers wall and just thought this is crazy. He told me that Joe and Nick wanted to talk to me. I was surprised because I thought I was only going to talk to one of them. I talked to Joe and he told me that they were in LA and had just done a photo shoot. I live in New Jersey, where they live, and Joe told me that they love it there because that's their home. Then it was off to talk to Nick. Boy, do I love that kid. I love him so much that the first thing I said to him was "Oh my gosh, I love you!" They had just started the Jingle Jam tour and they had a new song, “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” and since I couldn't make it to any of their shows, Nick said he would sing it for me at the next show I go to. We talked about school and how he hasn't been in real school in a while, so I should tell him more about it some time. Then I talked to Kevin again. We talked about the weather in New Jersey, which was not nice, it was all rain that day. He told me the weather over in California was nice and warm, so I told him that it wasn't fair. We talked about high school and he said that it was the best time of his life. Kevin thanked me for all the support and for everything I had done and we said our goodbyes. It was probably the best phone call I ever had in my whole entire life and I would like to thank Miss O and Friends for making it possible.
