GETTING TO KNOW: HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CAST

Zac Efron

TEEN: What did you do to prepare for tonight?
Z.E.: I tried to get a good night's sleep last night.

TEEN: Have you had a manicure?
Z.E.: I never have, I should try it sometime.

TEEN: Pedicure?
Z.E.: I've never had a pedicure, ha-ha, nope.

TEEN: So are you nervous for tonight?
Z.E.: You know, you've got to get nervous. The carpet is so red, but what can you do I'm having fun!

TEEN: What are your summer plans?
Z.E.: Hopefully, I'll get to relax. I'm going to do a a lot of traveling and surfing! I'm going to Australia and Europe too. That's pretty much what I'm going to do, and get ready for USC.

TEEN: That’s so cool! What are you going to major in?
Z.E.: Film, I'm really excited!
 

Ashley Tisdale

TEEN: Are you excited?
A.T.: I'm very excited for tonight, I'm not nervous, I'm very excited!

TEEN: How did you prepare for tonight?
A.T.: A lot of pressure of today, I had hours of interviews, and then we had a little five minute break, and did some more interviews. Then we had hair and make up for about a couple hours and then I got changed and rushed over here!

TEEN: So what do you do when you're bored and you're getting your hair and make up done?
A.T.: Well, usually, its not boring because its me, Vanessa, and Monique all together and its never a boring time! We always have a blast together.

TEEN: What are your prom or summer plans?
A.T.: For summer I just want to go to the beach, that's all I want to do!

TEEN: Are you working on any new projects?
A.T.: Well I'm on set doing The Suite Life [With Zach and Cody] and I'll be doing that through the summer, but I'll also be meeting with people to work on my new album.

TEEN: What kind of music will it be?
It's going to be pop-rock.

TEEN: Awesome, can’t wait to hear it! Congratulations!
 

Vanessa Anne Hudgens

TEEN: How did you prepare for tonight?
V.H.: Well I had a lot of people working on me. I a lot of people working on me, I had hair extensions, I had a make up person. So I had to sit in a chair for a long time!

TEEN: Are you nervous about this big night?
V.H. You know, I used to be, but now I'm kind of used to what's going on. I love it, it's fun.

TEEN: Do you have any prom plans?
V.H.: No, you know if anyone has a prom, invite because I've never been and it's my dream. Because I don't go to high school, I'm home schooled, so I've never been to a prom and I really want to go!

TEEN: What is it like going to a red carpet event?
V.H.: I'm totally excited for tonight and to be here. Red carpet events are always going on in L.A. and I always drive by them and want to be in them and here I am talking to everybody!!

TEEN: How has your life changed since January 20th?
V.H.: I've been really busy but it’s been awesome!
 

Chris Warren, Jr.

TEEN: Is it weird to see yourself on the big screen?
C.W.: You know, it really is!

TEEN: Did you ever audition for plays when you were younger, in school?
C.W.: Yeah, I did. I did Grease, I played Danny, and a couple other little plays. But mostly television and film stuff.

TEEN: What does it feel like to be part of the whole High School Musical phenomenon?
C.W.: I never expected it. We knew it was going to be really good, but not part of this huge thing, having a soundtrack and everything, it's just awesome!

TEEN: How did you decide what to wear tonight?
C.W.: Tonight? I actually, two hours ago, I didn't know what I was going to wear. It was kind of bad, ha-ha, I was racing around. But its okay, I'm here.

TEEN: And a random question, what did you eat for breakfast this morning?
C.W.: I had eggs and toast. My mom made it for me.
