TRAVEL REVIEW: ANTIBES, FRANCE
The Cote d'Azur, meaning coast of blue, is one of the most spectacular places to visit in France. Antibes is one of the many cities that make up the south of France. Unlike the big cities such as Nice and Cannes, Antibes is more quaint and not as commercial or touristy. However, there is a small train like bus that will provide a tour of the city.

The city of Antibes is right on the Mediterranean Sea so many places in the city one can sea the water. Not only is there a beach, but there are two beaches! The beaches are referred to as the "old beach" and the "new beach". The old beach is smaller, while the new beach is larger and has all sorts of water activities like sailing, windsurfing and parasailing.
In the center of Antibes, there is an old carousel that still gives out rides and can be fun for many ages! Every morning there is a huge market that has fruits, vegetables, all sorts of herbs and spices, wines and many other types of food. Everything is fresh and not very expensive. There is also many cute boutiques on many of the smaller side streets that sell fun bags, unique jewelry and trendy clothes. What more are the French known for than their croissants? The bakeries are just amazing with fresh baguettes, soft yet crispy croissants and many different kinds of pastries.
Pablo Picasso, the artist that created the style Cubism, spent a portion of life in the south of France painting, drawing and making ceramics. Antibes is one of the places where Picasso's art rests in the Picasso Museum of Antibes. One can view 181 of his drawings and paintings along with 76 ceramic pieces.
Antibes is a city with a lot of culture and a lot of life that has something for everyone. Don't forget to bring a dictionary with you if you aren't fluent in French to help you get around!
