Growing up in Rome Alessandra Brunialti always wanted to be a fashion designer. Inspired by her mother who was in the textile business, Brunialti worked for Nicole Miller and Adrienne Vittadini until coming into her role as Vice President of Women’s Design at Banana Republic. At Banana for fourteen years, Brunialti has transformed the company, especially in its recent initiatives to introduce an Eco Collection. Fluent in five languages; French, German, English, Italian and Spanish, Brunialti also has two adorable mini Dobermans named Luna and Grace.
ALESSANDRA BRUNIALTI
Vice President of Women’s Design at Banana Republic 		Kneen was selected in January 2008 to serve as Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Design for Banana Republic. Kneen sets the product direction for Banana Republic apparel and accessories, as well as lead overall creative direction and aesthetic of the Banana Republic brand. Kneen joins Banana Republic with more than 20 years as head of design for leading apparel brands in the U.S. and Europe. Working for Brooks Brothers and Adrienne Vittadini brands, he was the first to design a fashion collection for men’s and women’s at Brooks Brothers. Born a stones throw from Penny Lane, Kneen (pronounced knee with an n), began his life in Liverpool but grew up around the world following his father who was an officer in the Royal Navy. Kneen’s own career has followed this spirit of wanderlust and genuine passion for city style. Life in Paris, Milan, London, Barcelona, Monaco and New York inspires a rich creative vision for Banana Republic. Fluent in Italian, French and English, Kneen is a natural ambassador for this global lifestyle brand.
