Coleman is being tasked with putting The Huffington Post's ad sales efforts in line with the site’s robust audience growth. The site, co-founded by prominent author and pundit Arianna Huffington, enjoyed sizable traffic spikes during last year’s presidential election, which it has mostly maintained. The left-leaning property, which aggregates and produces original political news—and often features celebrity bloggers—reached 7.8 million unique users in July, according to Nielsen.

Prior to joining the Huffington Post, Platform-A, Coleman served as President of AOL’s Platform-A; 3 mutually dependent online businesses, which collectively reach 90% of all U.S. Internet audiences.Prior to AOL, Coleman was President and CEO of NetSeer, a start-up company focused on next generation search and ad targeting. Before that, he was EVP of Global Sales at Yahoo!, where he helped establish Yahoo!'s leadership in the online advertising marketplace. At Yahoo!, Coleman was responsible for all advertising revenues worldwide, which grew from $600 million to more than $6 billion during his tenure. Coleman also served as Senior Vice President of Reader's Digest Association and President of U.S. Magazine Publishing, where he was responsible for the company's magazine properties including Reader's Digest. Coleman was the founding publisher of Memories magazine at Diamandis Communications and worked at CBS, Inc., where he spent 10 years leading advertising efforts for Women's Day as Vice President and National Sales Manager.
