Instagram Launched a New Feature to Combat Bullying

And they celebrated with a Kindness Prom!  You probably love posting photos and stories on Instagram, right? Keeping your friends updated, posting cute selfies and showing love for your friends and family. Well, you’re about to love Instagram a whole lot more, but they’re just launched a new feature which is going to make the app a safe and inclusive space for all its users.  Instagram is now enabling a “bullying filter”, which will remove comments intended to attack a person’s appearance, character and well-being. "This new filter hides comments containing attacks on a person's appearance or character, as well as threats to a person's well-being or health. The bullying filter is on for our global community and can be disabled in the Comment Controls center in the app. The new filter will also alert us to repeated problems so we can take action," Kevin Systrom, Co-Founder & CEO of Instagram said in a statement. "We are also expanding our policies to guard against bullying young public figures on our platform.”  They also hosted a star-studded Kindness Prom on Saturday, May 5 which was meant to celebrate Instagram influencers and other teens who are inspiring and encouraging others – not just on Instagram, but across the world. https://www.instagram.com/p/BibO_xrARJs/ INSTAGRAM  In attendance was 13-year-old author Lexi, created children’s books to inspire young people and build confidence. She also founded Curlanistas, which she hopes will motivate girls to embrace their natural hair.  What do you think of Instagrams new feature? What is your favorite thing to do on Insta?
